There are a number of canines in the K9 Acres family...from Lucy (aka. Swiffer), a Maltese-Toy Poodle, to Tia, a long-haired Chihuahua, and Spud, the stud Jack Russell Terrier.  Coming soon (as soon as we can get them to slow down long enough for the camera shutter to catch them...) are pictures of Lady Abigail (Abby), Zoey, Tink, Kitty, and Chuchi.  These new ladies at the Acres are a Pomeranian, hairy-hairless Chinese crested (it will make sense when you see her), and Pekingese-Chihuahua cross, respectively and have already brought a ton of excitement, love, and fun to the Acres.  We can't wait to introduce them!

Penny (aka Lady Penelope of the Acres) is  a purebred Parti Pomeranian who weighs about 6 lbs, shown to the right.  She loves to roar around and play with anything that will let her play with it (including our curtains, Otis' ears, and Pattie's tail - when she's feeling brave).  Abby (aka Lady Abigail of the Acres), shown below is also a purebred Pomeranian, weighing about 6 lbs.  She is definitely a goof...I see a bit of a pattern with our Acres dogs sometimes...hmmm... and is very friendly and affectionate.  Chuchi, shown in the lower right, is a Pekingese-Chihuahua, weighs about 10 lbs, and definitely shows off her best in person!  She is super-affectionate once she gets to know you, and is very playful and fun.

Zoe (the Crazy-Funky-Monkey-Dog!!) is a hairy, hairless Chinese Crested, and weighs about 8 lbs.  She may look a bit odd here, but we assure you, those tufty feet will have your heart wrapped around them within seconds of meeting her.  She is one of the funniest, most fun dogs here at The Acres, loves her name (especially the extended version), and absolutely loves affection, including kisses, cuddles, and belly rubs, preferably all at once, and for a long time.
Otis is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier and loves to cruise around the gardens and snuggle with a nice cuppa tea.
Generally Marcy (Marshall and Lucy's baby) moves too fast to be caught on tape, which is the reason that pictures of her have been lacking on the site.  We managed to catch her slowed down somewhat munching on an apple she had foraged from under the trees.  In the top left she shows off the hairstyle expected to be in vogue this fall...the afghan look.  Top right "What is that you are pointing at me?".  To the left, "My apple...come and take it from me...he he he!"
Jody, above, is a dog with a loving personality.  She is a great mother to her puppies, and gets along well with people.  She loves to play with her toys, go on snake safaris in the long grass, then curl up with a nice blanky.

To the right: 4000 feet and counting.  Spud the mountain dog 4000 feet up Mt H'Kusam and still going strong.  What a hike that was!  And, yes, that is Leo right behind him.

This is Pattie (above) and she loves to go on adventures.  She is a Maltese-Miniature Wire-Haired Dachshund cross.  She is the most lovey, cuddly, curious dog you've ever met!
Tia, shown above, is a purebred long-haired Chihuahua - she is silky soft, and loves to be cuddled - and is a bit of a clown, as evidenced by the pic on the left.

Leo is one of a previous litter from Jody and Spud.  We liked him so much we just had to keep him.  Here he is sunning himself on a lovely February afternoon.

Lucy is a Maltese-Toy Poodle.  She weighs approximately 8 lbs, is very fuzzy, and is often affectionately referred to as 'Swiffey'.  She is very friendly, and enjoys cuddling, sitting on her pillow in the window, and playing with her 'sisters'.
Ellie, a Maltese cross, doesn't really like having her picture taken, so good pictures of her are few and far between.  She is very cuddly, and loves to play with Bonnie and Lucy.  We all know that our friends help make us more courageous, and on the right Ellie is bravely ignoring the camera and snoozing with her buddy, a Jack Russell puppy.

Life at the Acres!  On the left - stop and smell the flowers.  On the right, cuddle in the blankies.
